Starting university or moving to a new city can leave plenty of people around you without many familiar faces Choose one activity you would enjoy even if you met nobody: a study group, a language exchange, a sports session or a public student event Returning to the same activity makes a second conversation easier
Keep invitations small and specific Asking whether someone would like coffee after a shared activity is clearer than asking to become friends immediately Leave room for a simple no, and do not assume that sharing a campus means sharing the same schedule, interests or boundaries

A profile can show a hobby or a social account you are happy to share It does not need your room number, class schedule or live whereabouts When you browse nearby profiles, use the details people have made public as conversation context rather than trying to identify where they study or live
